The mayer is happy to announce the city’s acquisition of an additional 2.368 acres adjacent to the previously acquired 2 acres on St. Blaise Avenue. This purchase enables the 2 acre stormwater pond under construction on the Anslem lateral to be expanded. This larger parcel, now with road frontage on St. Blaise, allows for 1.368 acres to be used as a dog park / green space.
With drainage mitigation efforts underway throughout Youngsville our opportunity is to create dual purpose spaces that expand Youngsville’s Parks & Rec department for all residents to enjoy. Pond construction is already in progress and a consultant has been selected to design the remaining dog park / green space.
