Thank you Darren & Laurie Reavis, Louisiana Gymnastics!
I’m excited to announce another public/private partnership to improve drainage in the Anslem drainage area:
Thanks to the generosity of Laurie and Darren Reavis, the City of Youngsville is constructing a stormwater drainage pond behind Louisiana Gymnastics Club on St. Blaise Avenue. This 1.5 acre pond can store 4.5 acre feet / 1.5 million gallons of water which will provide additional storage for Chelsi Meadows neighborhood and alleviate pressure off of the Anslem Coulee and lateral during high intensity rain events.
Through public/private partnerships and federal grants, numerous drainage improvement solutions are under various stages of development and design. Youngsville has previously announced the acceptance of $10 Million in federal grants for multiple regional storm water ponds on the Lasalle and Bayou Parc Perdu Coulees totaling 60-80 acres and now the second pond on the Anslem coulee through a private/public partnership.
Thank you again Reavis Family and Louisiana Gymnastics! Land clearing is beginning today!
