Proud to announce the city’s acquisition of 18.19 acres for drainage detention near Fortune Hills Subdivision at the confluence of Bayou Parc Perdu and the Anslem lateral. In conjunction with other regional detention parcels on Bayou Parc Perdu, this project will lower the base flood elevation (BFE) on Bayou Parc Perdu by 7 inches! (Approximately 60% of Youngsville drains to this coulee)

The purchase of this property will be 100% reimbursed to the city by the feds thanks to the planning efforts of a great team at McBade Engineers & Consultants LLC.
